A conservationist with an engineering background, Aakash is determined to use his technological skills towards conservation. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Ecology and Conservation Science at The University of Adelaide in Australia. As part of his research, he is exploring novel technological solutions for enhancing the effectiveness of biodiversity conservation initiatives worldwide. This includes adapting emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and drones for use in conservation problems. Aakash has extensive experience of working with conservation issues, particularly in Himalayan regions within India. In light of the recent surge in Pangolin trade in Asia, Aakash is dedicated to conserving these unique creatures using both his conservation experience and strong technical skills.
